A Word From The President

Peanut Butter BW.jpg

Dear Colleagues, Clients and Community,

As the President and Founder of Westrade Construction, I want to express my heartfelt support and solidarity to you and yours during this challenging time. As a locally founded and run business, the impact COVID-19 has had on our community over the last number of weeks is difficult to process. Community is the heart of Westrade Construction and the well-being of those that surround us is of the utmost importance.

On Saturday, April 4, 2020 the Government of Ontario announced stricter measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 in the workspace. Part of this decision was to close all non-critical construction sites until further notice. As each construction site is being individually deemed critical or not, we expect to see significant delays with our projects and a decrease of work.

We want to ensure that our clients have peace of mind that the quality of our work will not suffer at this time. Our goal of always ensuring our clients receive high-quality service and standards is more important than ever right now. We are working hard to ensure that our workplaces are safe for all workers, and in turn, those closest to them.

We remain dedicated to meeting the safety and health needs of everyone involved with Westrade Construction. Working alongside the provincial government’s regulations and suggestions, we will continue to:

  • Reinforce rigorous on-site hygiene practices,

  • Mandate that all administrative and office employees stay and work from home,

  • Implement an online assessment questionnaire for construction workers prior to entering the job site,

  • Replace all in-person communication with digital teleconferencing, and

  • Physically distance workers by limiting the number of people allowed on a site.

As we continue to monitor the situation, we are doing everything we can to make informed, smart decisions for our people, business, and community. From everyone at Westrade Construction, we hope you all stay safe and healthy during this time of uncertainty.

Thank you,

Paul Boileau
