Estimator
Full-Time Position
Introduction
As an Estimator, you will engage in a multitude of responsibilities from performing material take-offs, reviewing bid documents, to preparing accurate estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects. The Estimator will be working closely with the Project Management Team in the preparation of estimates, project initiation and planning.

Since 1985, Westrade Construction Limited has provided General Contractor and Project Management services to Ottawa and the outlying area; including interior renovations for commercial, industrial, retail and dental/medical spaces.

Roles and Responsibilities

Interpreting construction drawings and specifications

Interfacing with clients

Utilizing estimating software, and expanding software capabilities

Manage working documents
-
Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, and availability of materials

Build and maintain relationships with our suppliers

Act as support work closely with the Project Management Team as required
Qualifications and Experience
-
Construction Estimating certificate or equivalent
-
Minimum 5 years of relatable experiences

Driver’s license
-
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

Experience with estimation/takeoffs

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
-
Proficiency in MS Office and estimating software
-
Possess excellent communication skills (written, verbal, technological) and interpersonal skills

Is detail-oriented, organized and committed to achieving excellence in their work

Can be self-directed, possess a sense of initiative and dependability
