The Carpenter is responsible for contributing to best-in-class customer experience by
performing general carpentry tasks, for a range of clients as assigned by the General
Superintendent of Project Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
Complete a variety of activities, including both light and heavy maintenance; this
could include repair of all basic carpentry elements, drywall, painting, suspended
ceiling, steel stud framing, etc;
Take initiative to point out additional needed repairs as necessary.
May be required to work with sub-contractors and monitor work progress;
Maintain a daily Log of activities including material, labor, work hours, completion
dates, etc.;
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all work areas; as well as storage areas;
Ensure all areas are free of hazards and where not able to resolve, ensure
management are informed for immediate resolution;
Perform all facets of the job in accordance with the legislation applicable to the
jurisdiction, including Health and Safety standards, WHMIS, AODA, etc.
Correctly interpret plans and specifications to ensure compliance with the
schedule; ensure the quality of work performed;
ensure the implementation and enforcement of the health and safety policies at
work;
participating in site meetings;
